The Best British Artists for Learning English!

English Phrasal verbs and Vocabulary for Speaking on Skype and Phone Calls
March 18, 2018

Do you want to learn English while doing something enjoyable? Then this is the video for you. As British University English teachers we want to share our favourite British bands and artists that are good for learning English. Listening to music can help you improve your listening as well as your vocabulary and it is something you can do whilst doing other things!

If you’re looking for a really fun and easy way to practice speaking in English, why not use the “universal language” of music to help? Reading aloud is one of the best ways to practice speaking in English because it allows you to read and pronounce each word slowly and carefully. Singing aloud helps in this way too! We can all connect with great music, no matter what our geographical and cultural differences. As long as you enjoy the rhythm and beat of a song, it doesn’t even matter if the language is a foreign one.

Use earphones

Using earphones is a great way to make sure that you hear every word clearly. After all, it’s the lyrics that will help you learn English – you don’t want to miss those.

Sing along

Listening to the lyrics of a song is a good way to practice understanding English. And as you sing along, you can practice your pronunciation of English words – look for karaoke videos on YouTube so you can read and sing along to your favorite songs.
